Company of the Year 2010

Castalum commenced production as a greenfield operation in 2001 under the banner of SPX Contech. The mission of the company was to quadruple output from the first full year’s production over a period of 5 years – a target that was achieved.

Approaching our second decade the Company still maintains it’s vision of producing high quality difficult castings to exacting customer standards. Our new mission as Castalum is to increase our output by 50% over  the next 5 years and occupy an ever widening supply footprint in Europe and globally

In 2007 Castalum, under the ownership of SPX Contech, won the Cast Metals Federation Company of the Year accolade. The award was made on the basis of our commitment to continuous improvement through staff development at all levels. With CMF membership accounting for all of the prominent UK metalworking companied the award was an achievement hard won and proudly accepted

In November 2010, Castalum won the Company of the Year award for the Cast Metals Federation (CMF). CMF encompasses all aspects of the metals and metal working industry. John Parker, the Secetary of the CMF noted when presenting the award, "Castalum has continued to progress and grow during a very difficult period for the metals industry. Theirs is a remarkable story of commitment and drive and everyone contributing to the success of the Company".
